A Fine Frenzy - New Heights

no, this is not me taking a turn for the worse and listening to music that doesn’t make you want to stick your head in a blender or something (that’s how brother #2 puts it, anyway. and brother #3. crap.) but i do like A Fine Frenzy.

i also like working from home. i’m not working from home right now, but everyone else is. that’s why i like it so much. nothing personal, obviously. conversations with office people recently have been as follows:

C: i trust you.
me: fool.
C: that much is true.

and then there was also:

A: i need to transfer a call to you. what’s your number?
me: who is it?
A: what’s your number?
me: who is it?!
A: what’s your number?!
me: who. is. it?!

pffft. don’t worry, we settled it in the end.

it’s just the office is sooooo empty right now, but i like it. the boy is at home with the family in law because the nursery is shut. when i rang the house earlier and he answered, i was like ‘who is this? who?!’ and eventually the father in law got the phone and that’s when i realised i had been trying to speak to my own kid. so bad. but yeah it’s quiet here, and i don’t know whether to leave early like some of the others here or stick around. face it, it’s the only quiet i’m going to get for the next few days. after that it’s ASBO all the way, innit. damn, so harsh!
